Kenan Thompson is currently in his seventh season on “Saturday Night Live,” and has entertained millions with his impressions of Bill Cosby, Reverend Al Sharpton and Star Jones as well as “DJ Dynasty Handbag,” the scathingly fierce co-host of “Club Traxxx.” This season on “SNL,” Kenan has introduced fresh outrageous characters such as “Grady Wilson” (and his instructional sex videos for the elderly) and “Oscar Rogers” (whose catch-phrase is “Fix It!”).
A native of Atlanta, Thompson made his television debut as a member of the kids sketch-comedy series “All That.” He and his comedy partner, Kel Mitchell, starred on the spin-off “Kenan and Kel” in 1996 and later starred in the hit feature film “Good Burger.” Thompson also had a recurring role on “Felicity.”
Thompson also starred opposite Samuel L. Jackson in the buzzed-about “Snakes on a Plane” and will next be seen in the comedy “Wieners.” Thompson’s feature film credits also include “Fat Albert,” “D2: The Mighty Ducks,” “Rocky & Bullwinkle,” “Heavyweights,” “My Boss’ Daughter” with Ashton Kutcher and “Barbershop 2.” He also has voiced several animated characters in both television and film. Most recently, he is the voice of the Lebron James puppet in the current Lebron/Kobe Nike commercial campaign.
Thompson lives in Los Angeles and New York.
